FAQ- Ohio Valley Golf Scramble Chapionship
What is the Ohio Valley Golf Scramble Championship ?
It is a Championship 4 man scramble tournament consisting of teams that have qualified at participating golf courses.
Where is it played ?
The inaugral Championship will be held at Mountaineer Woodview Golf Course. Each succeeding tournament will be held at the home course of the Championship winner.
When will it be played ?
The Semi-final will be played on the first Saturday of September. The Championship will be played on the second Saturday of September.
How do I qualify ?
Your 4 man team can qualify for the Semi-finals by playing at any qualifying scramble at a participating golf course in the Ohio Valley. Each participating scramble will send the top two teams. Additionally, four wild card teams will be added to each course's semi-final. These wild cards will be the teams with the next four lowest scores that have not qualified.
How much does it cost to enter ?
For the qualifying scrambles it will be up to the participating scramble sponsor to establish their entry fee. For the Semi-final, all courses will charge their standard rate. For the Championship, a standard fee of $65 will be charged, of which $25 will go to the golf course, $15 will go for food for the day, and $15 will go towards golfer gifts.
How do I get my scramble to be a qualifying event ?
To be a qualifying event, each scramble sponsor will be asked to pay a $50 advertising fee. With that fee they will be listed on a Championship poster at each participating golf course.
